Ellen joined the Colquhoun Murphy team in 2018 after gaining many years experience as a litigator at another Canberra firm and quickly established herself as an experienced civil litigator. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Politics/International Relations) from the Australian National University, and has since completed a Masters of Legal Practice.

Ellen has extensive experience in personal injury and superannuation litigation. She is passionate about assisting clients navigate all aspects of litigation with a caring, sensitive and thoughtful approach. Her practice extends into commercial litigation and employment law, where she excels at ensuring that she understands her clients’ experiences and goals. This makes her an excellent advocate who always seeks to achieve the best possible outcome.

Ellen is a member of the Civil Litigation Committee of the ACT Law Society. This Committee is at the forefront of law reform and provides guidance on best practices for lawyers in the area of civil litigation. She is also a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the ACT Women Lawyer’s Association. Colquhoun Murphy and its clients benefit from Ellen’s experience, knowledge and network of contacts within the Courts and broader legal community of the Australian Capital Territory.
